Since the very beginning of the Trump-Russia investigation, members of the Resistance have been claiming that Trump’s collusion with Russia makes his election illegitimate. The mountain of evidence continues to grow and now a prominent MSNBC host has finally said what everyone’s been whispering.
The MSNBC weekend host Joy Reid appeared on Chris Hayes show as a panelist and the discussion focused on the clear evidence that Trump’s campaign did collude with Russia during the election.
Trump’s former adviser George Papadopoulos has already confessed that he told several Trump officials about his plans to conspire with the Kremlin and he’s asserted that Trump himself knew about it.
Joy Reid’s response was “What if Russia actually did impact the outcome? That means that the fundamental legitimacy of the President of the United States is questionable. Every decision he makes, every judge he appoints, could be inherently illegitimate. And I think that’s actually a fundamental question Americans should be afraid of. Psychologically, it’s very difficult to be told that perhaps your vote was somehow influenced by outsiders, that there was something wrong with the candidate you voted for.”
Chris Hayes responded “Yes, you’re stressing me out talking about it right now” and then he went on to explain how that would destroy the faith Americans have put in the political system.
This is the first mainstream media outlet to publicly acknowledge a serious concern of millions of Americans. What would this unprecedented situation even look like? The Presidency not being legitimate would be the ultimate undoing of American democracy.
Oh, let’s not forget that Trump’s very own voter fraud chair admits that Trump may not have won the election…
Kobach cheerfully conceded that just as he believes that we’ll never really know if Hillary Clinton earned some 3 million more votes than Donald Trump, lingering questions about voting integrity across the country mean that we can’t be sure that Trump won the election, either.
TUR: Are the votes for Donald Trump that led him to win the election in doubt as well?
KOBACH: Absolutely. If there are ineligible voters—people who are non-citizens, people who are felons, who shouldn’t be voting, according to the laws of that state—you don’t know!
.@KatyTurNBC: ‘You think that maybe Hillary Clinton did not win the popular vote?”Kobach: ‘We may never know’ https://t.co/FC26JcqrRD

He didn’t realize it until it was too late, but his argument and conclusion means he just publicly undermined the entire premise of the Commission on national television.
Whatever the White House’s inquiry yields, it’s important to remember that the administration’s handpicked team has candidly acknowledged that it will be impossible to ever know whether Donald Trump actually won the 2016 contest and is a legitimate President of the United States, or is instead a sad, weak imposter propelled by a massive wave of illegal voting to a fraudulent Electoral College victory. Glad that’s settled.
We may never know, that’s for certain, but regardless, Trump will never be seen as a legitimate President.
