Sweet Heart of Jesus, be my love.
Sweet Heart of Mary, be my salvation.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us.
Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.
“I found that Jesus’ teachings about the heart can be summarized by three questions He wants us to answer honestly: 1. What is the center of my heart? 2. What is the condition of my heart? 3. What comes from my heart? Applying these questions to Jesus [and His Sacred Heart], what do we discover? 1. The center of His heart was to do the will of the Father. 2. The condition of His heart was not hard and self-centered, but malleable and open to the needs of others. 3. What came forth from His heart was always love, but love shaped by the conditions of others’ hearts. For example, Jesus loved the poor, the leper, the tax collector, the Pharisees, His disciples and those who nailed Him to a cross. But each expression of His love was uniquely shaped by the needs of the conditions of their hearts.”
